CATALÀ Perdón is a declaration of love and hate to dance. A piece that explores limits: of artistic creation; of dancing; of the performer’s freedom on stage or their relationship with the audience; of discomfort and also of chicken elastics. Limits as an artistic manifesto or as a privileged space for surprise and provocation, where what is beautiful can become grotesque or a display of vulnerability. Without victimism or moralism, without prejudices about good, evil, what is beautiful or what is boring, we put our heart directly on the grill to say: This is what we are: this is the proof that you can dance with ‘v’, with humour and with spelling mistakes. (And if this is another synopsis that does not clarify anything for you, sorry.)
